Nehemiah 9.3

First Corinthians 11: 27-29 teaches us that we are to come to the Lord’s Supper in a worthy manner. How do we do that when we know that our sin is a daily issue? As this passage says, we examine ourselves. What we are looking for is sin, that it may be confessed and forgiven. But not just particular sins, but our sin nature as wellour sin and our sins. Knowing that we rest in Jesus for our salvation and that we have confessed our sins, we come to the Table, Jesus having made us worthy. None of us could be worthy by our own doing; only Jesus makes us worthy.
